Reflections on Our District Meeting
This past week, our church family gathered for a powerful and Spirit-filled District Meeting, and what a time of worship, fellowship, and growth it was! Moments like these remind us of the beauty of being part of the Body of Christ coming together with one heart, one mind, and one Spirit, to lift up the name of Jesus and strengthen one another.
One of the greatest highlights of the meeting was the sacred service of ordination. With great joy and reverence, we witnessed the setting apart of Elder Teresa Michelle Jame Wright to the sacred office of Elder, and the ordination of Deacon Dupray Adams to serve faithfully in the ministry of the church. These moments were not only historical for our district but deeply spiritual, as we felt the presence of the Holy Ghost confirming the work God is doing in their lives.
Ordination is more than a ceremony it is a recognition of God’s calling, equipping, and appointing. It is the church affirming, “Yes, we see God’s hand on your life, and we stand with you as you step into this next level of service.” Both Elder Wright and Deacon Adams have shown themselves faithful in their walk with Christ and in their service to the church, and this ordination is a testimony of their obedience to God’s call.
As a district, we left the meeting encouraged, inspired, and challenged to continue walking in our own callings with faithfulness. The Word that went forth reminded us that ministry is about servanthood, sacrifice, and surrender, and we all felt stirred to give God our “yes” once again.
We rejoice with Elder Wright and Deacon Adams, and we are excited to see how the Lord will use them in greater ways for the building of His Kingdom. Let us continue to lift them in prayer as they step forward in obedience and boldness.
